WORK WITH THE LAB / THREE ENGAGEMENTS

Find the friction.
Build the evidence.

From a focused diagnostic to a full message architecture, each engagement starts with the decision your audience is struggling to make.

01 / DIAGNOSTIC / TYPICALLY 1–2 WEEKS

Conversion audit

A diagnostic audit examines a defined journey: for example, the path from an acquisition landing page to a lead form, or from a pricing page to checkout. We review the offer, the copy hierarchy, decision points, available analytics, and relevant audience research supplied by your team.

You receive a prioritized friction map, annotated page observations, a concise set of copy hypotheses, and a working session to discuss tradeoffs. If suitable data is available, we also flag segments and events worth examining. An audit identifies opportunities; it does not claim to establish causation from a screenshot.

02 / ARCHITECTURE / TYPICALLY 3–6 WEEKS

Full-funnel copy architecture

A sprint connects the first promise to the later decisions that make a conversion possible. We align the audience problem, mechanism, proof, objections, and calls to action across an agreed set of pages or messages. Scope depends on the number of journeys and the evidence available.

Deliverables can include a message hierarchy, page-by-page wire copy, proof requirements, draft copy for the agreed assets, and a testing roadmap. Your team reviews product accuracy and substantiation throughout. Design, implementation, and media buying are scoped separately unless the engagement explicitly includes them.

03 / LEADERSHIP / TYPICALLY 2–4 WEEKS

Executive message testing

For a launch, repositioning, or important sales narrative, we help leadership compare competing ways to explain the offer. The work begins with stakeholder interviews and a review of existing research, followed by a small set of distinct message territories and an agreed evaluation plan.

Depending on the project, the plan may use qualitative interviews, comprehension checks, or a quantitative experiment with sufficient traffic. We return a decision brief that explains what was learned, what remains uncertain, and which claims need further proof. Participant recruitment and research costs are discussed before the work begins.

04 / THE PROCESS

A clear brief before a clear proposal

Start by describing the audience, the page or funnel, and the business decision you need to make. Share what you already know about traffic, conversion, customer conversations, and constraints. You do not need a perfect research dataset to begin a useful conversation.

Clara will review the inquiry and discuss fit, scope, timing, and fees before any work is agreed. The timelines above are planning ranges rather than guarantees; access, feedback, approvals, and research recruitment can affect the schedule. Contact clara@copylab.ai or use the inquiry form.

What makes a good fit? An identifiable audience, a real offer, and a willingness to examine the assumptions behind the copy. We can help prioritize experiments, but no responsible testing partner can promise a particular conversion lift.

05 / A USEFUL START

What to bring to the first conversation

A link to the relevant page, a description of your ideal customer, and the decision you hope to improve are enough to begin. If you have analytics, customer interviews, or existing test results, those materials can help us understand the context and set a realistic research plan.
